Hey there, fellow warriors of motherhood! Today, we’re going to dive into the wild and wacky world of starting an online digital business as a stay-at-home mom. Buckle up, because it’s going to be a hilarious and exhilarating ride through the rollercoaster of emotions that come with this adventure. So, grab your coffee, sneak a piece of chocolate from your secret stash, and let’s conquer the fear of the online business world, one laugh at a time!

The Internet, My Old Nemesis

Picture this: You, sitting at your kitchen table, googling “How to Start an Online Business” with your toddler’s sticky fingerprints on the keyboard. You’ve watched the success stories, seen the Instagram glam, and thought, “Why not me?” But then, the dreaded imposter syndrome kicks in, and you start questioning if you’re tech-savvy enough for this gig.

Fear Factor: It’s okay, you’re not alone. We’ve all been there. Remember, the internet is just a big circus with a lot of clowns (and we’re not talking about your kids). Laugh at the confusion, and know that Google is your best friend.

The Infinite Scroll of Information

You begin your research, and suddenly, you’re drowning in articles, webinars, and e-books, all claiming to have the golden recipe for success. You read one promising you’ll be a millionaire in six months, and the next telling you it’s all a scam. Panic mode: activated.

Fear Factor: Don’t take it too seriously. The online business world is like a buffet; you can’t eat everything at once. Pick a niche, take one step at a time, and remember, Rome wasn’t built in a day. Laugh at the overwhelming abundance of advice.

The “Mom Guilt” Tsunami

Just when you think you’ve got a handle on things, here comes the tidal wave of “mom guilt.” You start wondering if your kids will grow up with memories of a laptop instead of your face. You panic-schedule playdates, bake a mountain of cookies, and promise to build a treehouse, all while secretly plotting your business empire.

Fear Factor: Mom guilt is like your in-laws’ unsolicited advice—it’s always there. Embrace it. You’re teaching your kids the value of ambition and hard work. Plus, they’ll love those extra cookies! Laugh at the absurdity of trying to do it all.

The Fear of Failure

What if you pour your heart, soul, and savings into this digital endeavor and it crashes and burns? The fear of failure looms large, like the pile of laundry that never seems to end. You worry about what people will say, especially those well-meaning aunties at family gatherings.

Fear Factor: Failure is the stepping stone to success, just like stepping on Legos in the dark is the stepping stone to a brighter hallway. Embrace it, learn from it, and remember, those aunties probably don’t understand your online business anyway. Laugh at the idea that they have any say in your life.

The Technological Maze

Setting up a website, managing social media, and navigating SEO—it’s like being thrown into a labyrinth with a blindfold on. The tech jargon feels like a secret code only the digital gurus understand. You’re convinced that even your toaster is smarter than you.

Fear Factor: Take a deep breath and remember that technology is your friend. There are countless tutorials and experts out there ready to help. Laugh at your toaster’s newfound wisdom and remember that you’re smarter than you think.

The Perfectionism Paradox

You’ve spent days crafting the perfect website, writing flawless blog posts, and designing stunning graphics. But here’s the kicker: It’s never quite “perfect” in your eyes. You’re stuck in a never-ending cycle of tweaking and re-tweaking.

Fear Factor: Perfectionism is a sneaky trap. Your journey doesn’t have to be flawless; it just needs to be authentic. Remember, your quirks are what make you unique, just like that coffee stain on your favorite mom shirt. Laugh at your pursuit of perfection and embrace your imperfections.

In the grand scheme of things, the fear of starting an online digital business as a stay-at-home mom might seem like a daunting task. But here’s the secret: It’s also incredibly rewarding, empowering, and downright hilarious. So, laugh in the face of fear, embrace your mompreneurial spirit, and let’s conquer the digital world, one funny meme at a time. Your kids may not understand it now, but one day, they’ll see you as their superhero in sweatpants!

Remember, moms, you’ve got this!

I know this if off topic but I’m looking into starting my own blog and was wondering what all is
required to get set up? I’m assuming having
a blog like yours would cost a pretty penny?
I’m not very internet savvy so I’m not 100% positive. Any
tips or advice would be greatly appreciated. Kudos

      Hi
Sorry about only responding now. It is actually quick and easy to set up. I am also not very Tech savvy but did ALOT of research to find products and systems that are available to us at n extra cost or upsells. I am just trying to make extra income without having to spend money to get there. I went to GO DADDY to find a domain name and then to set up my website – I have a friend who does it for a living and did this for me. You however can use WIX http://www.wix.com – its the most popular software. Unless you know of someone that can help you with this. At this stage for me it is a big learning curve. Put your personality into it all, people love the personal stories that are out there versus the generic AI ones being put out. Please contact me on my email juliana@vitalaiden.com anytime you need anymore help or guidance or any questions. I am here to help you and give you all the information I have gathered so far.
      Hope this helps.
      Have a fab day…
      Kind regards,
      Juliana
